Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue played their debut show in Singapore April
16 at Timbre Rock & Roots festival, drawing raves from the audience and the critics. One local daily newspaper, Today <http://www.todayonline.com/Entertainment/Music/EDC110418-0000289/A-fun-time-for-all>, proclaimed the band "blew the roof off the house playing his brand of soul-funk, reminiscent of James Brown and the Tower Of Power horns." The main daily paper, Straits Times, also praised their show: "The energetic New Orleans band ripped out a high octane set, and their blistering mix of funk and jazz sizzled as Andrews put on a masterclass of trombone and trumpet playing, getting the crowd of 4,000-plus on their feet."
