I grew up listening to live jazz and blues in Chicago. That adds up to some 50 years of hearing some of the greatest vocalists around. Ms. Krall has the chops, she can play with syncopation like it's child's play, uses her dynamics well, and has lovely phrasing. But I think her attack is just amazing. Yeah, I'm a fan and have been for years.
