The creation of producer/DJ Pit Baumgartner, German group De-Phazz skillfully blends various aspects of electronic music with real instrumentation and vocals, providing the music of choice for international "scene" hotels and clubs. Their recent CD, Death By Chocolate entered the German pop charts at #20. The buzz on De-Phazz is growing outside Germany as their music is used for various compilations including the popular Buddha Bar and Hotel Costes series. In his recent Rolling Stone review of the second Hotel Costes CD, Kurt Loder describes De-Phazz’s, "Jazz Music", as a "standout track" that is an "ultralush . . . meticulous amalgam of vibrant synth strings, subtly deployed samples and sleek, non-Teutonic vocals."
